Jean-Marc Mangin

Jean-Marc Mangin Jean-Marc Mangin: Jean-Marc Mangin was the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) representative in Nepal who headed Canadian Cooperation Office between 2003 and 2006. He carries 20 years of international development experience gained in the field as well as through the headquarters of NGOs, the UN, and the Canadian Government. He was the Executive Director of CUSO until recently and was the Chief of Operations at the International Humanitarian Assistance Programme at CIDA prior to this. Before joining the federal public service in 1998, he led the Emergency Response Unit at CARE Canada. Mr. Mangin has been involved in humanitarian operations in several African countries, the Americas, in Asia, and in the Balkans. Over the last 20 years, he has lived in Nepal, Malawi, Ethiopia and Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo)working on humanitarian and development programmes for the UN World Food Programme, CARE Canada, World University Service of Canada and ARA Consultants (now KMPG). Born in Manitoba, raised in Quebec, educated in Victoria, Montreal and Toronto, Jean-Marc Mangin holds a M.A. in Political Sciences and Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto.
