Dragon (Flying serpent)
The dragon is a mythical creature depicted as a large and powerful serpent with magical or spiritual qualities. Dragons are often held to have major spiritual significance in various religions and cultures around the world. In Nepal, they are, revered as representative of the primal forces of nature and the universe. They are associated with wisdom and longevity. They are commonly said to possess some form of magic or other supernormal power, and are often associated with wells, rain, and rivers.
This animal may not be a myth. However, since there is no clear evidence of its presence, will study it as a mythical animal. The yeti has become a cultural icon, appearing in movies, books and video games. Mainly this is in the abominable snowman. The yeti is one of the characters in the Tintin comic ‘Tintin in Tibet’. The yeti in the story rescues Tintin’s friend, Chang from the remains of an air crash in Tibet.
Garuda (Human Eagle)
Garuda is a Buddhist guardian deity. Garuda was introduced to Japan from India via China along with the rest of the Buddhist pantheon. In those countries they call him “tengu”.
